Chris M. Jackson - Partner
Chris has been involved in the Staffing business for over 17 years. He began his career as a "Headhunter" for a firm called Status Incorporated in 1990. After his third month on board, Chris was named "Recruiter of the Month," for 15 consecutive months before being recruiter away to lead the resource management charge at a company called The Registry. In his 6 years with The Registry, Chris filled roles as Recruiting Manager, Sales Manager and eventually Regional Manager of 3 offices throughout the Carolinas.

In 1997 Chris left The Registry and along with 2 other partners formed a company called Signature Consultants. His duties consisted of building this company from the ground up and acted as Recruiting Manager, Sales Manager and Vice President throughout his tenure. Once the company was on solid personnel and financial ground, Chris left to start a company called The Matt Christopher Group, based out of Charlotte. MCG became successful at placing people in contract, contract to permanent and permanent placement positions within the I.T., Sales and Executive arenas.

After 5 years of developing and growing MCG into a $6+ million dollar venture, Chris sold his interest in MCG to a competing entity and was offered a role as the Director of I.T. Staff Augmentation division for a multimillion dollar Staffing firm based out of Buffalo. Within a couple of years, Chris' division was exceeding $5 million dollars in revenue when he was asked to take the helm as the Sales and Recruiting Manager for a billion dollar I.T. Solution Services firm. Based out of Atlanta, he was instrumental in developing new programs as well as "best practices" that enhanced not only the internal employees’ careers but also the careers of those who were involved in consulting assignments with the firm.

In August 2007, Chris joined IBS. He was solely responsible for the development of a new division called, IBS Global Staffing. This division was formed to focus on providing staffing services to the Travel, Transportation and Hospitality industries. Since the inception of this division, it is now a multimillion dollar division that services well known clients across the United States. In July of 2008, Chris left IBS to become a Partner in the formation of Apical Resource Group. Apical is 100% focused on proving high quality staffing services geared towards helping customers fill their critical needs of hospitality employment within the Travel, Transportation and Hospitality sectors.


Alan E. Young - Partner
Alan Young began his hospitality/travel focused career 24 years ago when he entered into the hospitality industry working in a management capacity with Four Seasons Hotels in Toronto and Weller Hotels, based in Australia. Young then transitioned his operational experience into the hospitality technology environment moving to the Caribbean to head up the implementation and business direction for a Micros / Fidelio business partner where he was the Business Development Manager.

Returning to Canada in 1997, Young was the Industry Sales Manager for Sweda Canada concentrating on providing technology solutions for the Canadian hotel and travel marketplace.

Alan's focus during the past years has been to aid hospitality technology start-up companies within the on-line travel distribution arena, most notably Newtrade Technologies where he was Vice President of Hotel Systems and Integration.

Alan has held the position of Chief Marketing Officer with Softbrands, formerly Hotel Information Systems based out of Lake Forest, CA. Hotel Information Systems is focused on developing software applications for the global hospitality industry primarily on the property management and central reservations area.

Most recently, Alan held the position of Vice President, Supplier Sales for Hotel Booking Solutions Incorporated (HBSi) and a consultative position as Vice President, Canada for IBS Software Services Americas Inc.

Alan sits as Chair of the Board of Directors of Open Travel Alliance, a travel industry technology standards association. Alan has been involved with many industry associations most notably AHLA, HTNG and HEDNA. Alan has been a guest speaker at such events as World Travel Mart, HITEC, HEDNA, The HOT Conference and a number of other industry gatherings.
